The Veterans of the 183rd Aviation Company host an All Bird Dog Unit Reunion

Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

September 9-12, 2010

We are pleased to announce our planning for the upcoming reunion is nearly complete and we already have 55 veterans who have made their reservations at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The purpose of this bulletin is to bring you up to date with our plans for this very special event and to encourage you to make your reservations now and begin your planning to join us at the best reunion yet.

It all begins with the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a four star facility with lots of activities available on the property. We have a very special rate of $88 per night. You should contact Cheyenne Mountain Resort at (800)428-8886 as soon as possible to make your reservation. Make sure you tell them that you are with the 183rd Aviation Company Reunion to get the special rate. At this point there are only 20 rooms left at this preferred rate. Enclosed, you will find a brochure from the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and you can also view the facility on their website, www.cheyennemountain.com. Another website that you might find of interest is the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, www.coloradosprings-travel.com. The Resort has also waived the transportation charge to and from the Colorado Springs Airport and the Facilities Service Charge. This may be the best buy of the year.

We will have a hospitality suite available throughout the reunion. We are encouraging you to bring pictures, documents, souvenirs, memorabilia, etc., from your tour in Vietnam to put on display in the hospitality room. This will be the center of all of our activities for the reunion.

History Project

We have had a very generous offer to produce a video history of the 183rd Aviation Company from Vladimir Jones, a Colorado Springs advertising and public relations firm. We are looking to span our entire tour in Vietnam with video interviews of Seahorse veterans who served in different locations, with different MOS’s, and for each of the years the 183rd was activated. If you are interested in participating in this project, please contact John Fischer, (918)633-5994 or email at Tulsajohn42@gmail.com.
